We are an Indonesian "Pure-Play". Our sole business focus is within the Republic of Indonesia, where "Bahasa Indonesia" is the national language. The names of our subsidiaries reflect this fact. The word "Hilir" is the Bahasa word for "Downstream", and indicates our position relative to the "Hulu" or "upstream" producers of the crude oil feedstocks we refine. "PT" is the Bahasa abbreviation for a limited liability company, equivalent to "Ltd."
PT-CHI is our subsidiary established in the Republic of Indonesia under a foreign direct investment license from BKPM, the Indonesian agency responsible for coordinating international investments. From its Jakarta office, PT-CHI's mission is to seek out and initiate new business opportunities in the downstream oil and gas sector by providing management consulting services to local Indonesian crude oil producers, regional investors, local lenders, and energy infrastructure development enterprises of regency or provincial level governments. Any one of whom may be a strategic partner or stakeholder in our small scale refineries.
CHI is our subsidiary established in the Republic of Singapore. Its mission is to handle the sourcing of imported crude oil feedstock supply we may need for our Indonesian refining operations. CHI also handles export marketing and sales of any refined products we produce. Singapore is the world's third largest center of crude oil refining, and the gateway to Asia for global crude oil supply, where over 15 million barrels per day pass through the nearby Malacca Straits.
